Mobile Credentials Meets Fingerprint Security
The BioMobile Reader combines Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) mobile credential technology with fingerprint authentication for enhanced access control. Designed exclusively for the Zodiac Connect app on iOS and Android devices, BioMobile replaces traditional access cards and key fobs with a digital credential and optional fingerprint verification.
Site or organization administrators manage credential assignments and fingerprint enrollment, providing flexible security tailored to each access point.
Two Flexible Security Modes
Standard Security
The Zodiac Connect app transmits the user's digital ID to the reader via Bluetooth. The reader forwards the ID to the access control system through Wiegand for access authorization.
High Security
The app transmits the user's digital ID and fingerprint templates to the reader. The reader prompts the user to scan a fingerprint and verifies it locally. Upon successful verification, the reader sends the digital ID to the access control system for access authorization.
Privacy by Design
Fingerprint matching is performed entirely on the reader. Biometric data is not stored in the cloud or shared with third parties. The user's digital ID and fingerprint templates are stored in the Zodiac Connect app, while access permissions remain managed by the existing access control system.
